The only good thing he actually did in the StreetFighter games is sparing Gen's life when he notices that Gen was ill during battle. Akuma's desire to "only fight those who are the absolute best" becomes an InformedAttribute ever since he regularly became a playable character in the series. Fans have tried to make him look like a noble and honorable warrior but in reality in the series he is at best a neutral but still destructive force. So in another words while Akuma is not a monster but he isn't one of the good guys either.

Fans have tried to make him look like a noble and honorable warrior but in reality in the series he is at best a neutral but still destructive force. So in another words while Akuma is not a CompleteMonster monster but he isn't one of the good guys either.

* DracoInLeatherPants: Akuma is becoming a case of this as while to be fair Capcom is downplaying Akuma's role as a antagonist a bit but fans do it a lot more. The only good thing he actually did in the StreetFighter games is sparing Gen's life when he notices that Gen was ill during battle. * LauncherOfAThousandShips: Out of all the ''SF'' characters, Chun-Li has the most fan-made pairings, namely with Ryu, Ken, Guile, and Charlie (and to a lesser extent, [[LesYay Cammy]]). While it's not really bad when it comes to most [[ShipToShipCombat shipping wars]], it has caused a bit of varied mileages in the fandom. The ''Street Fighter'' anime from the 90s (and to a lesser extent the manga) have helped Ryu, Ken, and Guile in avoid this.
