His face also reflects poorly on how close he actually is to the answer, sometimes suddenly getting the "close to the answer" look and asking something utterly irrelevant.

* ArtificialStupidity: Akinator cannot recognize identical/opposite questions, so sometimes he asks you for your character's gender two or three times. It can be FridgeBrilliance at times--some characters, particularly {{AFGNCAAP}}s, can be both female and male, or neither, or crossdressing or anything else you can imagine. Of course, he'll ask if they have black hair and then ask if they have blond hair, plus the always entertaining "asks if they're from one universe, is told yes, guesses a different universe". This is likely the only program to think ''Franchise/MassEffect'' and ''Franchise/{{Halo}}'' are the same universe. And sometimes it will ask you if you've met/said hello to the character ''after'' you've confirmed it's a fictional character or dead historical figure. Apparently it believes you might be ''Literature/ThursdayNext'' or a time traveler. It can also ask a question, be told "no", and then guess a character with exactly the trait you said yours didn't have - such as guessing Gompers the goat after you say your character isn't a goat. The inverse of it guessing a character without a trait you said yours has is also possible, such as guessing Bucky the squirrel after you say your character is a raccoon. And both can happen within the same game.

As a result, it is typical to see "Akinator threads" on various forums which are mostly filled with people being [[{{HSQ}} amazed]] at how ably Akinator can "read their mind".

* DevelopersForesight: Well, not the dev team actually, but the contributors/players. Akinator can guess such "characters" as:

** "Television", "keyboard" and some variations on "computer" and "laptop" are also possible guesses, as are a ''lot'' of other inanimate objects such as "Light bulb", "Windows operating system", "iPad", "Wi-Fi", "Xbox-360", "Xbox-360 controller", "gamecube", "Printer" and "The Internet".

** ArtificialBrilliance: The other side of this is that even if you answer several questions incorrectly, he can still guess right (albeit after more questions). There's a large redundancy that also helps if you answer "Don't know" often.

* PyrrhicVictory: If it's easy for you to beat Akinator, it generally means that the stuff you like -- or the stuff you've created -- hasn't made a significant impression on the rest of the world. Really, this is a game you're hoping to "lose"[[note]]Unless you're a hipster, in which case you already lost, period[[/note]].
