* '''''Adults React''''' (July 16, 2015–present) – Announced by the Fine Brothers in the early summer of 2015, the fifth series in the franchise features a cast comprised of parents and younger adults (including former ''Teens React'' cast members who "graduated" to this series once they turned 20).

* '''''Celebs React''''' (November 1, 2016–June 5, 2017) – The metaseries' eighth series, it originated on August 14, 2014 with the release of a special called [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=et3A0LCBUys "Celebrities React to Viral Videos"]], which obviously featured more mainstream, non-Internet celebrities. The show was relaunched on Fullscreen's subscription [=VOD=] streaming service (which was shut down one year later) on November 1, 2016, and ran for two seasons. However, the main [=YouTube=] series continues to feature guest appearances mainstream celebrities.

** WebVideo/{{Jaxon|hh}} has gained a cult following on [[https://www.instagram.com/jaxonhh/?hl=en Instagram]]. He also has a [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h24HjJ8QjZw fan made video celebrating his birthday]] and even a fan-made [[http://www.jaxonhh.com website]]!

* NiceHat: Some kids and teens on random occasions. Jake's fedora is a notable ''Kids React'' example.
** Rock from ''Elders'' wore his stetson into the studio for "Election 2012" and (quite appropriately) "[[{{Music/PSY}} Gangnam Style]]".
** Yehuda Fine wears his black baseball cap backwards.
** Jeordy's feathered hat in "Teens React to the Cup Song"

* AbsenteeActor: Despite that they rotate the people around, there are a few regulars and fan favorites missing every now and then. Lia not appearing in "Teens React to WebVideo/{{Jacksfilms}}" and "Teens React to Dumb Ways to Die" are standout examples. Seth was gone for five episodes before coming back by popular demand.
** Interestingly, Benny and Rafi were - and still are, as of December 2021 - absent from videos released after the ''React World'' debacle, though their voices are occasionally herd.

* CommutingOnABus: Inevitable as the show has a ''[[LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters very]]'' large cast, not to mention each of the said cast having their own personal schedules that determine their availability. It's even more obvious in the case of ''Teens'' or/and ''College Kids'' who decide to attend college far from Los Angeles and appear less and less (such as Sabrina in Stanford, Jeordy in England and Rachel in San Diego).

* IconicSequelCharacter: The series has had [[LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters several]] reactors through the years, so any prominent reactor introduced starting its second season counts.

* [[LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters Loads and Loads of People]]: There are quite more than a few regulars that get rotated around often in each ''React'' series. Usually, these recurring people may be absent so that the Fine Bros can balance each episode between regulars, newcomers, and the occasional SpecialGuest.

''React'' is ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin -- Creator/TheFineBrothers, Benny and Rafi, show viral videos, popular songs, Website/YouTube stars, video games, technology and more to various people of either different age groups or Internet fame. As shown by the numerous tropes on this page, this metaseries is easily their best-known creation.

As of 2018, the ''React'' metaseries currently comprises eight series (along with two discontinued series):

* '''''React to That''''' (December 15, 2014-January 1, 2015) – Aired on Creator/{{Nickelodeon}}. It's basically has the same premise as its predecessors but with additional activities such as games and challenges.

** Megan and Shannon just part their hair differently, though in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=05uQR5C2AXw "Kids React to Election 2012"]] they have identical hair but different colored outfits. After they moved to ''Teens React'', one of the twins [[{{Meganekko}} would wear glasses on occasion]] (Shannon at first, now Megan).

* AndNowForSomethingCompletelyDifferent:
** "Teens React to VideoGame/{{Slender}}" where in the then-longest ''React'' episode ever, rather than having the teens watch to an online video and responding afterwards, they are forced to play a [[NightmareFuel scary]] computer game with stage lights dimmed, headphones on, and their reactions while playing are captured in real-time. (They still react afterwards, though.) In a much later episode, they got to play ''VideoGame/HappyWheels''.
** The elders do the same in "Elders React to ''VideoGame/FlappyBird''".
** During "Kids React to Rotary Phones", instead of watching a video, the kids attempted to use rotary phones and discussed the progression of technology. Same thing with "Kids React to Walkmans".
** The ''React: Gaming'' episode focusing on the original ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBros'' on UsefulNotes/Nintendo64 is also the very first time ''ever'' [[spoiler:that non-related reactors are actually seen ''together in the same shot'']].
** The ''React: Gaming'' episode focusing on ''VideoGame/UntilDawn'' has three different age groups of players playing the game--a pair of Parents, a group of three Young Adults, and a group of three Teens.

* SomethingCompletelyDifferent: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBWdaS17XmE This]] episode of ''Kids vs Food'' is about... a perfectly normal cake. Turns out it's really a MilestoneCelebration.

* AdultFear: The ''Adults'' and ''Elders'' cast are sometimes presented with topics that evoke such reactions. Notable examples are Ken during "Elders React to Music/DavidBowie" (who had passed away not long before the episode was filmed), where he (mentions how he's "getting closer to his time", and the ''Adults'' during the second "Try Not To Feel Old Challenge" where more than a few realize how they are "TwoDecadesBehind", prompting them to express GrowingUpSucks.

* AdultFear: The ''Adults'' and ''Elders'' cast are sometimes presented with topics that evoke such reactions. Notable examples are Ken during "Elders React to Music/DavidBowie", where he (mentions how he's "getting closer to his time", and the ''Adults'' during the second "Try Not To Feel Old Challenge" where more than a few realize how they are "TwoDecadesBehind", prompting them to express GrowingUpSucks.

* IAteWhat: Happens frequently in ''[Kids/Teens/Adults] vs. Food'', since "TheReveal" doesn't come until after they've tasted the featured food(s).

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Several.
** The naturally blonde Alix frequently dyes her hair. She even had a MulticoloredHair at one point.
** Tori dyed her hair purple for a while.
** Rumor's hair is constantly dyed in red hue.
** ''Adults'' regular Jennifer had her hair dyed similar to Creator/MargotRobbie's take on [[Film/SuicideSquad2016 Harley Quinn]].
** ''Adults'' regular Lotte has dyed electric blue hair when she debuted.
** ''Adults'' regular Michelle is yet another example. She's appeared with blue hair, pink hair, purple hair, and blonde hair, none of which are her natural hair color.
** Adam dyed his hair Magenta towards the end of 2017.
** [[Creator/AnnaBrisbin Anna "Brizzy Voices" Brisbin]] from ''Youtubers'' has her hair in red during her episodes.

* MulticoloredHair: Alix, though she seems to have grown it out by "Teens React to [[{{Creator/Laina}} Overly Attached Girlfriend]]".

* FingerlessGloves:
** Mikaela in "Kids React to Golden Eagle Snatches Kid" for some reason.
** Jeannie in "Teens React to Psy--'Gentleman'".
** Britney is rocking this one-sided fishnet affair in "Teens React to Hair Tutorial Gone Wrong".
** Lia in "[=YouTubers=] React to Little baby's Ice Cream".

* {{Megane}}/{{Meganekko}}: Morgan from ''Kids React'' on occasion (though she doesn't actually need glasses).
** Many of the Reactors, such as Alix, Anna, Becca, Brandon, Brianna, Britney, Brooklin, Carlos, Chelsea, Christina, Daniel, Dylan, Ethan, Geneva, Jade, Jair, Jeannie, Jenna, Jeordy, Lene, Leyla, Makena, Megan & Shannon, Michelle, Mikaela, Morgan A., Nora, Olivia, Rachel, Rebecca, Rumor, Sergio D., Seth, Sharon, Sophia, Thomas, Tori, Troy, and Will have all worn glasses on at least one occasion, though Alix, Brandon, Makena, and Sergio seem to be the only ones to wear glasses on a regular basis.

* {{Mondegreen}}: Adam misheard [[Music/{{PSY}} "Wet PSY"]] as "Westside". Easy mistake.

* {{Mondegreen}}: In the K-pop episode, Anthony and Ian of WebVideo/{{Smosh}} misheard the main line of the Music/GirlsGeneration song as "I got a boy on my chin". The real line is part English and part Korean, and translates to "I got a boy, a handsome one". With them being Smosh, this quickly went viral.

* BaldOfAwesome: Some of the elders, of course. Victor and Isaac from ''Teens'' have a [[PermaStubble perma-head-stubble]] thing going for them.

** After appearing on "Kids React to VideoGame/{{Tamagotchi}}", Krischelle disappears for two years before returning in "Kids React to WebAnimation/InAHeartbeat" now as a teenager (she eventually graduated to ''Teens'' the following year).

** Interestingly, Benny and Rafi were absent from videos released after the ''React World'' debacle.

* FatBastard: Brandon

* ThatCameOutWrong: Said word for word by Tom at the beginning of " Adults vs. Food - Hot Wings Challenge (because he hadn't eaten lunch that day).

** [[LeastCommonPizzaTopping Anchovies]] received a similar shut-out in the "Pizza Toppings" episode. You know it's bad when a few of the kids consider ''squid ink'' a step up.
** Natto wound up being recommended by Dylan, but only so that someone could understand just how horrible it is.
** Jellyfish also joined the list of "Kids vs. Food" shutouts. None of the kids were even able to swallow a bite.
** Now you can add bacon-flavored soda to the list.
** Ghost peppers were tried by the Adults...and none of them liked it. (the Carolina Reaper and Toe of Satan got some recommendations, if only as SchmuckBait)
** Same thing when they tried cat poop coffee.
** When it comes to Weird Burgers, none of the Kids liked salmon or canned burgers.

* HatedByAll: None of the ten kids in the "Vegemite" episode of ''Kids vs. Food'' liked the Australian delicacy.

* JumpScare: Not counting all that happen in the horror games episodes, two challenges have one of those to make them {{Unwinnable|bydesign}} - "Try not to Get Scared" tricks the remaining reactors into thinking they would see one last clip as someone in a mask jumped on them, and "Adults Try not to Move" have ''everyone'' flinching to a video of [[CameraAbuse a snake attacking the camera]].

* CatFight: What Megan and Shannon do when asked if they could do any karate moves.

* GayAesop: The topic is mostly discussed in ''Kids'', specifically in the episodes regarding gay marriage, its ruling, and ''WebAnimation/InAHeartbeat''. However, the ''Elders'' also reacted to the last one.

* NotSoDifferent:
** "Elders React to Music/ElvisPresley". The elders can {{Squee}} just as much as the teens, you just watch.
*** The elders regarded Music/ElvisPresley's weight gain and evolving into his Vegas image in the same vein as the teens did to Music/MileyCyrus and her derailment.
** "[=YouTubers=] React to Japanese Commercials #2" scores a new first by getting ''actual Japanese folks'' to watch them as well. It's no secret that Japanese commercials are outlandish and ridiculous, but one of the Japanese [=YouTubers=] points out that there's Western commercials like that - [[Advertising/TheManYourManCouldSmellLike the Terry Crews Old Spice commercials.]]

* NotSoAboveItAll / RefugeInAudacity: [[http://www.polygon.com/2015/1/22/7872463/gta-5-elders-play-react Elders playing]] [[VideoGame/GrandTheftAutoV GTAV.]] At first they struggle getting the grasp of the controls. Then they marvel at the graphics and the variety of activities they can do in the game. And then they realize they have weapons and HilarityEnsues.

* BlahBlahBlah:
** From one teen on WebVideo/ShaneDawson to one elder on UsefulNotes/BarackObama [[NotSoDifferent of all things.]]
** And another elder on Mitt Romney!

** During "Adults React to Music/MarinaAndTheDiamonds", Dionte mentions that the singer reminds him of fellow reactor Sheila (the scene then follows with Sheila fangirling over the singer).

* ZeroPercentApprovalRating: None of the ten kids in the "Vegemite" episode of ''Kids vs. Food'' liked the Australian delicacy.

** Lia pioneered the graduation from ''Kids'' to ''Teens''. Alex, Brooke-Monae, Bryson, Caden, Chloe, Claudia, Darius, Dash, Derek, Dylan, Elle, Emma R., Everhet, Jackson, Jake, Jaxon, Jayka, Kacey, Krischelle, Lydon, Marlhy, Megan & Shannon, Mikaela, Morgan A., Olivia, Riley, Seth, Sydney, Thomas, Troy, Tyler and Tyler F. have since followed in her footsteps.

* MsFanservice: The series has had many beautiful reactors through the years (even inspiring [[https://www.reddit.com/r/reactgirls/ their own]] [[Website/{{Reddit}} sub-Reddit]], which [[{{GIFT}} for]] [[PaedoHunt obvious reasons]] [[EveryoneHasStandards has a tough stance on comments]]), but the ones who occasionally turn up in revealing clothes (e.g shirts that are sleeveless, with plunging necklines, or/and [[FormFittingWardrobe just plainly tight]]) and are generally appealing/popular to the male ([[EvenTheGirlsWantHer and even female]]) fanbase are/were Alix, Becca, Blair Fowler, Brittany, Haley, Izzy, Jayka[[note]]who even got a MaleGaze from a male reactor onscreen[[/note]], [[OneSteveLimit the second]] [[GenderBlenderName female]] Jordan, Kaelyn, Lia, [[OneSteveLimit the older and original]] Madison, Marlhy, Mikaela, [[OneSteveLimit the third and oldest]] Morgan, Rachel, Riley, Sabrina D., Sophia, [[OneSteveLimit the older and original]] Sydney, Tori, and Justine Ezarik.

* SpiritedCompetitor: Jasser during the ''VideoGame/MortalKombat'' Tournament. He quickly catches on to Sub Zero's moveset, allowing him to [[CurbStompBattle steamroll over everyone else.]] But then, he was also being [[NiceGuy humble]] about it, even giving his competitors pointers on how to play better.
