* Canon: A lot of fans found Misuzu a lot better match than Yuka, as she isn't a ClingyJealousGirl and a crazy {{Yandere}}. In the game, there is Kakeru × Shiori which is viewed as canon.

* AdaptationalVillainy: The Black Knights were evil in the original visual novel, but that was explained that [[spoiler:they were insane because of the Larvaes in their bodies after that Misao revived them again.]] They cared all for each other, and while they hated the Fragments, they never tortured them ForTheEvulz like in the anime. [[spoiler:Lieselotte]] in the game was more sympathetic because of her DarkAndTroubledPast and her genuine care for Verard. In the anime, the past was AdaptedOut and she never cared for him.

** Lisette who was actually [[spoiler:The BigBad]] seems more sympathetic after everything she endured during the crusade and became even one of the most popular girl after her role in her If Story. Verard seems nicer in If Story than in the original.

** In the game, Verard could be viewed as one at the beginning. He improves however.

** In the game, there is Verard. He wanted for the destruction of the world and thought it deserved to be destroyed. However, in his If Story, he shows his true love toward Lisette, saving her from being raped by killing 90,000 crusaders for her sake.

* RedemptionEqualsDeath: Verard could be viewed as one. [[spoiler:He spent all the time to wish the destruction of the world and is charged of Liselotte's actions. Even if he was already died, he helped Kakeru through Eye of Aeon to fight her before the Eye is absorbed by Demiourgos. Five years ago, Kakeru Satsuki's older sister committed suicide. ** In Takahisa After Story, Takahisa is this towards Ema. It's revealed the reason why he ran away from his family was because he burnt alive his father who abused Ema sexually. He also ran away from her for her safe. When they reunited, he acted as an overprotective brother towards her again and had been furious when he thought Kakeru was interested by Ema.
** In Before Story, there is Benedictus, one of apostles. He seems to have this toward his younger sister Scholastica with a {{Aloof Big Brother}} trope. And even under his Acedia's form, he became enraged when[[spoiler:she is cut off by Misuzu in the game.]] And In Before Story, Misao had also this role toward Scholastica even if she isn't related to her.
** Kukuri of course. She could crash you with a car if you touch Kakeru. In the game it's possible that [[spoiler:she had this toward her younger brother in her parallel world. She actually went berserk when she learned that he died and killed the scientists charged of his death.]]

* BodyHorror: When Misuzu uses her strongest blade, her right arm turns black, swells up and sprouts spikes.
** No, that's just the anime messing things up again. Canonically, the blade does harm to the user by sticking needles into their flesh.

** [[spoiler:Lisette of course. The crusade made her mentally broken and her meet with Michel Maximilian didn't make her better. That's one of the most harsh scenes into 11eyes.]]

** Irene has this trope [[spoiler: When she thought Sebastianus was alive, her body is ripped off.]]
** Yuka somehow or other in the game. [[spoiler:After Kakeru discovered that she created a false world, she disappeared and absorbed by Liselotte. Although you didn't love Yuka, this scene was very sad.]]

** However, it's kinda debatable if it's really incest as [[spoiler:Kukuri is from another world. In Resona Forma, it's a major plot in Kukuri route. Finally they are revealed they aren't related.]]
** In Before Story, there aren't really incest between Benedictus and Scholastica but it's conversed when [[spoiler:Liselotte forced Benedictus to rape Scholastica in an illusion]].

* EarnYourHappyEnding: [[spoiler: Episode 12 can be viewed as this. Episode 11 can be considered "the bad ending", and is probably what Kakeru saw at the beginning of episode 12 had he done what he did in episode 11, where everyone ends up dying.]]

** Kanae seems really admire Liselotte and supports her but their relationship are still complicated.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Kanae in Crossover. Although she is actually [[spoiler:the Mastermind behind Crossover's events, she doesn't want Liselotte to destroy the world. However, her goal is to suppress every forms of magic in the world so that Thule could dominate the world. So her goal isn't really more enjoyable than Liselotte's goal.]]

** The Black Knights have somehow this trope too. Especially to Gula.

* GoodIsNotNice: Yuka has really this trope at the ending of the anime. It's however kinda subverted in the game. Can be applied to Takahisa at the beginning.

*** Actually, it can be applied to [[spoiler:Black Knights. They want to save the world but their actions toward Fragments aren't really viewed as good.]]
* GoryDiscretionShot: Played straight for many of the characters that get killed. [[spoiler: Strangely averted for Yukiko, we get to see Superbia rip the fragment out of her, and get to hear her scream and die. Probably why Kakeru loses it and charges Superbia before Yuka "intervenes". ]]
* GottaKillThemAll: The Black Knights appear to have this goal for the heroes. [[spoiler:The reason is because each of them (except for Kakeru) holds [[SoulJar a fragment of Liselotte's soul or to be exact, a smaller fragment of Liselotte's fragment of the Emerald Tablet]].]]
* [[GratuitousForeignLanguage Gratuitous Hungarian]]: In the anime version; the most noticeable location being the episode subtitles. There's also a bit of GratuitousItalian in episode four when Tadashi is trying to get close to Shiori and failing horribly.
** The episode subtitles are getting worse after each episode. The opening narration though is really good, thanks to being voiced by a hungarian, András Faragó. Which begs the question why no one asked for his opinion on the translations.
* GreyandGrayMorality: In 11eyes, that's messed up in the anime. However, in the visual novel, it's showed no character is truly good or evil. Actually, It looked like a BlackAndWhiteMorality first but actually the Black Knights weren't all bad actually, and some of them had a particular goal to act like this toward Fragments and still kept some human qualities. Furthermore, even Liselotte isn't all bad either.

* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler: Velad in episode 12, after seeing Kakeru talk about how there can be hope for a better future, and ends up helping to banish Liselotte.]]
* HeroicBSOD: [[NotSoStoic Misuzu]], after [[spoiler: she learns the truth about the Fragments.]]
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler: Avaritia holds Liselotte from behind in episode 12 to ensure that she gets banished to an alternate dimension where she hopefully can't escape. Unfortunately he gets sucked in as well.]]

* HotForStudent: Saiko-sensei, the school nurse, though she smokes, drinks and is frequently sniffing around for virgins. Kakeru wonders how she became the nurse in the first place.

* ICannotSelfTerminate: [[spoiler:When Takahisa starts to lose control of himself, he asks Yukiko to kill him.]]
** Lisette [[spoiler:before the final battle, begs for Kakeru to kill her.]]
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Yukiko does this a couple of times, has it happen to her as well, and later [[spoiler: a possessed Yuka does it to Kakeru in episode 11.]]

* {{Jerkass}}: In the anime, there is Yuka who is surely a real {{BitchinSheep'sClothing}} example toward the end of the anime. [[spoiler:She was apparently nice at the beginning, but finally when the madness leads her toward a Yandere way, she tried to kill Misuzu herself and didn't care for Yukiko or Takahisa when they are killed. She even freed Liselotte herself for having Kakeru for herself. And she ends up with Kakeru though.]] Subverted in the game.

** In Before Story, there is the Thule Member Fu Manchu. Benedictus could be viewed as one too. However, he somehow improves toward the end.

** Georgius although [[spoiler:he sacrificied unwillingly his comrades in the battle. He is really a good person and accepts every people even if they haven't the same belief.]]

** [[spoiler:Michel Maximilian. He is the one who transformed Lisette into Liselotte and yet,Nobody knows what's happened to him but he didn't seem paid the price for his actions.]]
* KillEmAll: The bad ending. It rivals [[Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion End]] but is revealed to only be a possible scenario.
* LightIsNotGood: [[spoiler: The girl in white trapped in the crystal seems like an innocent person, but in actuality she's Liselotte, a pretty evil person bent on destroying all of mankind due to losing her lover. Doesn't help that the Dark Knights look evil and continually attack the main characters without bothering to tell them why.]]
** Can be applied to [[spoiler:Johanna. She is supposed to be the Pope of Index but she is far from being a saint as she actually sent willingly Punishement Squad to the death in the battle against Liselotte. Her real role is watching the events and Sophia herself even calls her a sadistic.]]

* LoveMakesYouEvil: Liselotte. Although she was already evil before, her meet with Verard and his death makes her a alot crazier than before.
** Yuka in the anime somehow. She isn't actually evil, but she became crazy Yandere when she thought Kakeru and Misuzu were lovers.

* MultipleEndings: [[spoiler: Interestingly, episode 11 is a "What if" bad ending, and is pretty damn depressing. Episode 12 can be viewed as an "alternate/happy" ending, or maybe at the start of episode 12, Kakeru used his foresight ability to see what would happen in episode 11 if he took the action he did in trying to save Yuka.]]

* NiceJobBreakingItHero: [[spoiler:After all but two of the Black Knights are defeated, it turns out they were the ones who were trying to stop the world from ending, not cause it.]]
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: [[spoiler: After the Dark Knights gloat about taking the fragment out of Yukiko, thus killing her, and taunting the main characters, Kakeru loses it and begins to attack. Shiori seems to be assisting him, but Avaritia blocks her attack with his arm, and knocking it off in the process. It goes to hit Superbia, causing her to lose the fragment, and before anyone else can do anything Yuka suddenly shows up and throws the fragment into the crystal seal holding the witch. So from the POV of the Dark Knights, the "bad guys" just released the BigBad, while from Yuka's POV, she was helping to release an innocent person, and also, "protecting" Kakeru since the Dark Knights were attacking him.]]

** First, there is Takahisa who appeared at the beginning as a real jerkass toward Kakeru and his friends. However, he is really sweet and friendly toward Yukiko and supports her despite she is a cold-blood killer.

** In the game, there is Verard. He wanted for the destruction of the world and thought it deserved to be destroyed. However, in his If Story, he shows his true love toward Lisette, saving her from being raped by killing 90.000 crusaders for her safe.

** Nearly all Black Knights have a PetTheDog moment. Superbia in the anime is cruel as hell toward the Fragments but she really loves Avaritia. In Before Story, she also has a PetTheDog with Scholastica when she learned origamis to her.

** In Before Story, Benedictus is showed unsympathetic by his Jerkass nature at times. However, he really cares for his younger sister and tried to save her somehow in the battle. He also has one with his father at the beginning.
** Johanna has a PetTheDog moment toward Shiori After Story's end as she decided to [[spoiler:help Shiori in her trial. However it's kinda subverted as she only did it because she found her as a very interesting individual.She is still a monster though.]]
** Kanae has many examples [[spoiler:although she still the BigBad from Crossover]] At times, she answers to students's questions when she is in the library, as she did for Shuu when he searched for Doppelganger. She also has a PetTheDog moment with a cat during a meet with Shuu.
* PinchMe: [[spoiler:Episode 11 is what might have happened had Kakeru not been prepared. His vision comes to an end just after the credits, leading to him snapping back into action.]]

* RapeAsDrama: In every cases where that's showed, it leads to a drama for the character. Lisette can say this very well [[spoiler:after having been captured by crusaders who destroyed her village, she is raped by them many times and nearly killed her as well. That event leads her to her hatred for the world as well as her transformation in Liselotte.]]
** Ema, Takahisa's sister [[spoiler: is said having been raped by her father who abused her. It leaded Takahisa to brun him alive then living in street where he fortunately met Saiko who took him under her wings.]]
** In Before Story [[spoiler: Benedictus is forced to see tentacles growing from his own body which raped his sister Scholastica before tearing her apart. It made Benedictus becoming mad and apparently leaded to his own death.]]

* StopOrIShootMyself: In episode 12, Kakeru, having foresaw the future had he of done what he did in episode 11, instead threatened to commit suicide, and thereby killing the lover Liselotte was trying to meet up with again.

* SupernaturalGoldEyes: Known specifically as the Eye of Aeon. It allows Kakeru to see the future. The real value of the eye is that it allows the user to assimilate previous users' experience, memories and above all, to see different possibilities of the future and realize the one that the user desires.
* TakeAThirdOption: Instead of trying to do the episode 11 plots, Kakeru pretty much stabs himself. It ends up working and he recovers later.
* TakingYouWithMe: Invidia plans to kill everyone in Kakeru's gang by exploding herself, but she fails due to [[spoiler:Yuka's power awakening.]]

* Tsundere: Mio from Crossover. Misuzu could be viewed as one but she is more a kuudere than tsundere. Kaori is one toward Tadashi.

* UnstoppableRage: [[spoiler:Takahisa after Saiko is killed. He asks for a MercyKill from Yukiko while he's still himself.]]

** In Crossover, Kanae and Liselotte who were Thule Members are type III. Kanae really admires Liselotte [[spoiler:although she doesn't want her to destroy the world]] but Liselotte didn't care of her and was just interested by the destruction.
** However, between Liselotte and Fu Manchu are more or less the type IV. Liselotte as for Kanae saw just Fu Manchu as a pawn for her destruction of the world and Fu Manchu in return mocked openly Liselotte and even [[spoiler:revealed her intentions to Georgius]]

* ViolentlyProtectiveGirlfriend: Misuzu can be viewed as one to Kakeru although she isn't really her girlfriend. Yuka is one somehow.

* WhamEpisode: Episode 9. Things are not the same anymore for the main characters after that.
* WhatTheHellHero: Interesting trope for this series. [[spoiler: Turns out that the main characters are actually "the bad guys", and the Dark Knights are the "good" ones, trying to keep the evil witch from achieving her goal to collect the fragments within the main characters and destroy humanity. However, a lot of it probably could have been avoided, had the Dark Knights not of attacked them and continually tell them "we need to kill you", which justified the main characters in defending themselves and killing the Dark Knights, so this trope applies to both sides if you think about it.]]

She is actually the one who sent Georgius and the others to the battle just because Georgius was kind toward people with different belief and threatened Catholicism.]]

Five years ago, Kakeru Satsuki's [[DeadLittleSister older sister committed suicide]]. The only person he's friends with is his childhood friend Yuka and classmates Kaori and Tadashi. But inside, he has no interest in anything. While walking home with Yuka one day, the world suddenly changes. The [[RedSkyTakeWarning sky becomes red]], the [[WeirdMoon moon becomes black]] and {{Eldritch Abomination}}s called Laruva roam the street. This is just the beginning of what is about to unfold.

** Especially if we don't involve the fact that the anime has really messed up everything. In the game, the Black Knights are more developped than in the anime and except their hatred toward Fragments, they aren't really evil (even if in Acedia's case, it's still ambiguous).
