** The "GetAHoldOfYourselfMan" method works when someone is in a HeroicBSOD, not when nearly every bone in their body has been broken.
** After Ranma unleashed his Hiryu Korin Dan, turning the tide of the battle at the Dark Kingdom, all he was left with was a feeling of emptiness as the full scale of what he had done sank in. Killing countless youma in one single outpouring of destructive force effectively left him with PTSD, though the presence of [[spoiler: the late Queen Serenity]] helps him shake off the worst of it in time.
** Some of the cuts Zoisite had given Mousse had gotten infected by the boy's subsequent dip in the sewer.
** Despite the usual Nerima jadedness regarding martial arts antics, the police couldn’t ignore the gathering of TheCavalry at the Nekohaten.
** It had been years since Mousse had injected himself with the poison used by the Four Arts of Assassination. He knew he didn’t have enough time to get an AcquiredPoisonImmunity, as he was just hoping that it would be enough to increase his durability during his fight against Zhang. Thankfully, it keeps him alive long enough for the Senshi to get to him.
** Usagi is nowhere near durable enough to match Ranma's resilience, so it’s natural for some her limbs to start breaking when Ranma had to carry her while running at full speed. It didn't help that the Silver Crystal had been stolen.
** As Tanizaki found out after the Senshi and NWC were able to defeat the Wyrmspawn, the "ScrewTheRulesIHaveMoney" mindset can only take you so far. No amount of bribery or blackmail could compel public figures to give support to someone responsible for erasing an entire Special Ward of Tokyo off the face of the earth.
** The child that Zhang abducted, Mitsuko, was held captive and presented to a charred corpse to be used as a sacrifice. The moment she was freed she launched into unthinking panic, forcing Konatsu to knock her out.
** While Ryouga was able to hold his own against the Synths, the debilitating pain from his injuries quickly caused them to gain the upper hand. Luckily, they felt that Sailor Saturn was a higher priority.
** Beryl’s youma army is at least three times bigger than TheAlliance. When the allied forces were forced to split up, they were quickly overwhelmed by sheer numbers at several points.
** The aftermath of the final battle leaves a major political and humanitarian crisis, as millions are homeless following the devastation wrought by the battles against Tanizaki and scores of government officials are being implicated as either working with Tanizaki, or just from the acts that he was using to blackmail them in the first place.

** [[spoiler:Taken UpToEleven in the sequel, where Ranma and Akane talk about the failed wedding that took place at the very end of the manga, and decided to try and figure out a way to settle things with the other fiances. Unfortunately, Luna was spying on them at the time, and mistakes an innocent conversation between lovers for a sinister plot to take over the world once again while tricking the Senshi into a false sense of security, and immediately warns Usagi to not believe a word they say. Just how much has Ranma pissed off the universe?]]

* AdultFear: The realization that your daughter has been risking her life fighting creatures of unimaginable evil and power. And there's absolutely nothing you can do about it. You can't take away her power or responsibility, and you can't even offer any meaningful help.

* ThoseTwoBadGuys: The cautious Lesp and energetic Cortheia, two youma in Jadeite's army who are assigned to locate Beneda and the Wrecking Crew's whereabouts after the general's defeat.

** Ranma's plan to subdue Eternal Sailor Moon failed because he wasn't expecting for Sailors Saturn and Pluto to take the situation seriously enough to appear. To be far, Beneda told him from her old youma knowledge that Pluto's task as the Guardian of Time forces her from interfering with most events, and Saturn is considered as a last resort weapon with all of her destructive powers.

* ThreesomeSubtext: This is prominent throughout the story. While Akane and Ranma have become an OfficialCouple, the RomanticTwoGirlFriendship that has developed between Akane and Shampoo has led many to see the three as a OneTrueThreesome. [[spoiler:It stops being subtext in chapter 19 of Ascendant.]]

* NotSoDifferent: Ryouga told this to Beneda after finding out the truth, as her story reminded him of how he got his curse and what he did with it.

* TrainingFromHell: The training Mousse endured to master the first art of the Four Arts of Assassination

* TimeyWimeyBall: Pluto brings this up in cpater 19, [[spoiler: when she informs Chibi-Usa that sending her home is likely to be a little uncomfortable this time as the future she was born in, in the aftermath of the Great Freeze, is very different from the one she'll be returning to, where Tanizaki's defeat prevents everything from the Freeze to the creation of Death Phantom]].

* ThreesomeSubtext: This is prominent throughout the story. While Akane and Ranma have become an OfficialCouple, the RomanticTwoGirlFriendship that has developed between Akane and Shampoo has led many to see the three as a OneTrueThreesome.

* NothingIsTheSameAnymore: In the aftermath of the final battle, there are deep ramifications to those events. Much of Tokyo is in ruins the likes of which haven't been seen since World War II, millions have lost everything, and the government is in crisis. Sailor Moon rectifies the humanitarian situation somewhat by creating a portion of Crystal Tokyo on top of the ruins, but the Sailor Senshi's true identities are now public knowledge, and it becomes clear that they will have to directly involve themselves in politcal matters going forward.

** Finally, after the monsters present Ranma with a room they think is suitable for their new lord, which is something like a cross between a bad love hotel and BDSM dungeon, the fiancees start squabbling and inevitably blaming him, and start chasing him through the Dark Kingdom. Ranma is actually releived by it, finding it something familiar that he can hold on to amid all the literal and figurative upheaval he finds himself in.

** The "GetAHoldOfYourselfMan" method works when someone is in a HeroicBSOD, not when every bone in their body has been broken.

* GoLookAtTheDistraction: Ukyo did this to Mousse when he tried to stop her and Akane from helping Ranma and Ryouga.

** Tanizaki plays FauxAffablyEvil as he takes Ranma on a tour of his building, showing off a number of collected trinkets. One of these is a suit of supposedly unbreakable armor once worn by an Indian warlord the Nerima Wrecking Crew fought during the new timeline. The armor has a fist-sized hole that Ryoga made when he first used his DangerousForbiddenTechnique to kill said warlord. [[spoiler: This handily foreshadows that this technique is fully capable of killing the unkillable Wyrmspawn.]]

** An interesting discussion of this occurs between Ryoga and Saturn, who both have [[DangerousForbiddenTechnique extremely powerful techniques that will demand their lives if used]] and that both have survived before only on DeusExMachina interventions and technicalities. [[spoiler: They make the decision to give each other a promise that they will never use these techniques again, on the understanding that if things get so bad that they would break these vows, the threshold has been well and truly reached.]]

* LogicalWeakness: How does Mousse deal with a shapeshifter who can turn into whoever you most care for? [[BlindWithoutEm He takes off his glasses]].
** When Ranma finally figures out Tanizaki's weakness is [[spoiler: [[SoulJar a crystal ball that grants him immortality]] which must be kept close by to be effective, and turns out to be warded to be nigh-unbreakable, he just notes that he can't break it and tosses the item to Ryoga. [[FingerPokeOfDoom Bakusai Tenketsu]] ensues.]]
