He formed a group of scientists as crazy as he is, keeping his experiments off of the eyes of those who despised him for that. He planned his vengeance in secret, aiming to take back his place and write any taboo off of the fighting field so he can take his place back. [[spoiler:Also, he secretly planned for over 40 years to become God, sewing seeds of corruption by taking away parts of his soul to corrupt other people, to take the parts back when they'll have grown with the persons he sowed those into and become a God. This makes him responsible for one supposed sickness.]]

Even though she made a friend of Eiko, she got shooed off by Ringoto, and Mashin didn't care the slightest bit. She [[VillainousBreakdown breaks down]], and her berserk rage towards Houka got worse as it was her only remaining defining characteristic. They end up killing each other.

* NeverSayDie: Of course, she's the one to break the trope. Even referenced in her ''Type 504 - Mureishi / Hitokiri no Honoo'' (Spiritless Death / Killing Flame) attack.
* NietzscheWannabe: After she gets rejected by Mashin, she just wants to destroy the world. Her plan after killing Houka was to destroy the Stream, in hopes of blowing up the whole world with it.

** MemeticMutation: The code number for ''Houkabarai'' and ''Anti-Houka Rising'' is '''OVER 9000'''!
** ReadingsAreOffTheScale: Her unique moves' numbers are in the single digites, not counting decimals. Her special moves' numbers are usually in the triple-digits, but then her LimitBreak attacks are in the five-digit scale (82879 for ''Anti-Houka Rising'' and 23564 for ''Houkabarai'').

Her mentality, though, isn't quite what he expected. She is not only mellow, but quiet and [[ProHumanTranshuman human-loving]]. [[spoiler:Ringoto then remedies to this by [[BrainwashedAndCrazy forcibly controlling her]].]]

* MassOhCrap: She kills off both [[TheDreaded Hakkou]] [[AnyoneCanDie and]] [[MadeOfIron Tatsuya]] in less than ten minutes. She then easily slays Tae-yeong. Cue this very justified reaction as even the full-of-OneWingedAngel Team Mugen gets curbstomped.

* AmbiguouslyEvil: Much like a WildCard team. They [[OutGambitted out-gambit]] the VillainProtagonist teams, but they are {{villain protagonist}}s too, and what they want isn't quite revealed... [[spoiler:until Mashin gets away in front of everyone, thus revealing their failure.]]

* LegacyCharacter: Of sorts. He took the place of his grandpa in the Operation G staff after the latter died (officially) by the same heart sickness Tang contracted. * MissingMom: She died by childbirth when Fuushi was born, leading to his dad quickly finding a new wife... Then, it went FromBadToWorse.

* ApologeticAttacker: Sort of. He's always well-mannered, and if he feels really concerned (like when he injures his opponent for real), he falls into this.

* BadassNormal: Downplayed since he does have notions of magic, just less than most others.

* HeroAntagonist: In contrast to Team Ougoku, they look and act the part of a hero, except that they are against Operation G.

* BornWinner: She almost never trains and wins at least half her fights even at elite levels.
* BrattyHalfPint: The smallest person of the entire cast (and a full 10 cm below Haruka, the second-smallest), and the brattiest by an even larger margin.

** The Kokuu brothers count as being entirely screwed up, but the three are badass.

** The first is a magical genetic alteration that makes one naturally strong, but also gives a OneWingedAngel SuperpoweredEvilSide that can be triggered consciously, but usually is used unconsciously due to [[EmotionalPowers excess of negative emotion]]; it also tends to automatically trigger when darkness magic is used. It also gives a HealingFactor, though it is mitigated by the PainfulTransformation coming beforehand. Fuushi and Kiyoshi[[spoiler:, but also Natsuki,]] have this one.
** The second is InTheBlood, and gives [[AxCrazy the mindset of a machine of destruction]], making them [[UnstoppableRage ignore everything]]. This is done by reacting to a magic trigger. Setsuna, Kiyoshi and Akemi have it. The three members of Team Kokujin[[spoiler:, Ringoto and Mashin]] can trigger this. Kuuki, Aoshi and Haruka, hold the same power except theirs is triggered by themselves. Ginshi is like those three, but much weaker and without any mentality alteration. [[spoiler:This affliction was created by Mashin in the first place, using portions of his soul to taint people, and then regain back even more power at the expense of the lives of the triggers.]]
** The third is an innate dark magical energy type that enhances power at the expense of almost everything else, making everyone affected a severe BloodKnight. It also make them able to sense other lifeforms with that same energy. Seino and Tsuyoshi possess it, with Tsuyoshi fully accepting it and Seino struggling against it. It has a counteracting opposite which Karyu and Hakkou have (unwittingly so for Karyu until the later parts).
** {{Irony}}: Kiyoshi is affected by the first two above afflictions ''simultaneously'', which makes his status as the leader of Team Jundou (which means "pure path") all the harder to not make seem a joke.

* EnemyMine: Never outright executed. [[spoiler:Except at the very end, when all but four characters are dead, leading Akina and Keiko to team with Tsuyoshi and Koukyu, who were on the opposite side, to save the world by way of CosmicRetcon.]]
