* {{Bokukko}}: Female player characters can be this, as there are some voice tickets that utilize masculine pronouns in some of their lines.

* BoobsOfSteel: Any female PlayerCharacter with a large chest, of which there are no shortage. And then there's the breast pad accessory...

* BoobsOfSteel: Not the largest endowed female in the ARKS fleet by her in-game model, though artwork and things like ''Episode Oracle'' emphasize it way more, but it still coincides with her being one of the defacto strongest Force combatants in the story.

* BadassBaritone: Ash notably has a deep and almost soft-spoken voice. Given that, as the counterpart of the Protagonist, he ultimately becomes one of the strongest beings in ''the universe'', saying he's a badass is an understatement.

* CoolBigSis: Towards Sarah and Klariskrays III. Both are very fond of her and respect Matoi greatly. Matoi in turn tends to spend time with both, even helping Klariskrays out with her training by ''Episode 4''. She also tries to play this role with Hitsugi when they finally meet, trying to give her advice on how to move forward with her life after Enga's lecture left Hitsugi doubting herself.

* FanservicePack: Her outfits become increasingly fanservicey with each iteration, with her current one (pictured above) being basically just an open jacket and a shirt that shows off cleavage. Tends to happen to her in media as well, as she's often depicted having an even larger bust than what her in-game model actually has.

* MsFanservice: Being the main heroine and poster girl of the game, she's this as she has some of the most fanservicey outfits in the series compared to other ARKS operatives.

* PhysicalGod: She's one of the few ARKS operatives to be on the Protagonist's level by the events of ''Episode 4'', and she's so powerful that she single-handedly curbstomped Dark Falz Apprentice with ease back when she was still Klariskrays II. At the beginning of ''Episode 5'', she and the protagonist easily defeat the Profound Darkness' latest reappearance while trying to separate Persona from it.

* BoobsOfSteel: Any female PlayerCharacter with a large chest, of which there are no shortage. And then there's [[GagBoobs the breast pad accessory...]]

* GagBoobs: The "Ballooned Bosom" accessory is basically this, as it is significantly larger and shapelier than the normal maximum chest size by default, has significantly more noticeable JigglePhysics, and are ''ridiculously huge'' at maximum size (though conversely they can also be hilariously ''tiny''). Oh, and the accessory can be placed ''on most places of the body'', can be used ''multiple times'', can be used by ''any species and gender,'' and ''even any costume that allows the use of accessories'' (yes, even the [[NonMammalMammaries Rappy and Saldeenian costumes]]). It's so ridiculous that English players wondered if it would even become available outside of Japan at all until it did. They're deliberately ''meant'' to be ridiculous, considering they can be used in any way any other accessory can be, to the point where you can have ''multiple of them simultaneously'' and use them in any position, size and angle within the limits the salon editor gives you. Depending on the player, it can get very silly indeed.

* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: By ''Episode 3'' they've taken down Falspawn by the legions, Dark Falz, and even helped seal the Profound Darkness away. Once they reawaken from cryo-stasis at the beginning of ''Episode 4'', they're informed by Xiera about their new rank which is "Guardian", a title specifically created for both the Protagonist and Matoi in light of their feats which allows them free reign as operatives of ARKS, with only Xiao, the Council of Six, and Ulku having equal or greater authority.

* WeaponOfChoice: Primarily uses the Coated Edge or Coated Doubliss as their main weapons throughout the game. Once the Scion Classes are introduced, the Protagonist proceeds to use other weapons available for Hero, Phantom, and Étoile as well.

* WeaponOfChoice: The "Coated Edge" Sword.

* WeaponOfChoice: Rods. Aside from "Clarissa the White", this was her primary weapon of choice during her fight against Apprentice during the Falspawn Invasion of ARKS in AP 228. After Clarissa disappears once more, she's given a replacement weapon called "Clarissa III: The Bright".

* AbsoluteCleavage: Her ''Episode 3'' outfit which has an opening that shows of her chest and goes all the way down to her stomach.

* VocalDissonance: Since you dictate what your character sounds like, you can easily invoke this. Whether it's a man with a premature boy's voice, a woman talking like a ''Lillipan'', or a girl with '''[[UpToEleven a grown man's voice]]''', you decide.

* ScrewDestiny: The Protagonist's modus operandi. It doesn't matter how difficult something is, they will overcome it and prove fate wrong. Thanks to Xion and Xiao giving them the ability to time travel, they're able to make good on this throughout the first three episodes. By the end of ''Episode 3'', they've even managed to save Matoi from her fate as the Profound Darkness' host, something that even Xion admits she has never seen happen before despite her omniscience.

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: By that we mean ''any'' hair color.

* AdaptationalAttractiveness: He's a bit younger-looking and more {{Bishonen}} than the default human design from the game. Promotional material for Ash's cosmetics in the game use a redesigned model to reflect this.

* VirtualPaperDoll: The customization is ''incredibly'' detailed, with tons of options to try out. Want to be [[Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica Homura Akemi]] with [[Franchise/ShiningSeries the voice of Yukihime]] wielding [[Manga/AttackOnTitan Ultra-Hard Blades?]] If you so desire!

* MulticoloredHair: With certain hairstyles, it's possible to have dual-colored hair a la Quna or Sukunahime.

* ArtificialHuman:
** Newmans and Deumans. The latter were specifically created when Haddred's corpse was spirited away to the past which researchers then used to create the Deumans as they currently are.
** This is taken further in ''Episode 6''. [[spoiler:It turns out that they're essentially both an artificial Photoner and a Dark Falz hybrid due to all the minds shared with their body and strangely unique capabilities like the Dark Blasts. Shiva herself outright calls the player the "Vessel of the World", [[ArtificialHuman a creation of Xion]] designed to eventually perpetuate a StableTimeLoop so that they become the original Akashic Records at the creation of the universe itself - and they're a part of the same project as Shiva.]]

* BeyondTheImpossible: Their quota for almost every Episode is pulling this off somehow. Defeating Dark Falz Elder where the Three Heroes could only seal him, thrashing Luther, soloing the Profound Darkness, betraying all the standards of the Dark Falz as their future self in Persona, and managing to [[ScrewDestiny alter the timeline]] along the way towards a better path where it shouldn't have even been possible. And that's just up to the halfway point of the story.
** This hits maximum threshold by the end of the story: [[spoiler:the power of the universe's hopes and dreams effectively turns the Guardian into a straight-up PhysicalGod that can best the Profound Darkness while defying all fate entirely and creating a future without an Akashic Records. Xion is awed by the nigh-impossible accomplishment.]]

* IAmWho: [[spoiler:Thanks to a StableTimeLoop, they are created by Xion as a "vessel of the world" to stop the Primordial Darkness thanks to her access to the Akashic Records for seeing the future - and then end up ''as'' the Akashic Records after a HeroicSacrifice upon defeating Shiva in the normal ending.]]

* LongLostRelative: [[spoiler:Thanks to being created by Xion using the same process Luther used to create Hariette, they're technically a younger sibling to the girl in a spiritual sense - and to its second inhabitant Shiva in a physical sense. They're technically also half-siblings in a scientific way to Matoi, coming from the same creator who might as well be an impromptu mother figure of sorts, but are NotBloodSiblings due to the differences in what their designs derive from.]]

* MagicKnight: Can be done by maining a melee class like the Hunter and subclassing a Force or Techer, allowing you to cast Techniques while wielding, say, a {{BFS}}. The mileage you get, however, isn't very much as they generally have very low T-ATK stat to work with, making this AwesomeButImpractical. More practically, the Bouncer, Hero and Phantom are dedicated hybrid classes.

* MysteriousPast: The story never really brings it up, given the player character is your own perspective into the story and all, but no one knows where this ARKS agent came from. Even Luther with his extensive knowledge has no clue who they are. [[spoiler:Turns out this is for a good reason; they're a [[ArtificialHuman lab-grown Photoner]] made by Xion from the same artificial body research that Luther had done to create Hariette / Shiva. Xion specifically crafted them in secret to fulfill the role of the Akashic Record yet they clearly had to be recruited into ARKS normally, meaning that aside from Ash's personal backstory in the anime, there can potentially be any past to ''no'' past.]]

* SeenItAll: Besides a couple choice moments in ''Episode 4'', they aren't really all that phased by what goes down and almost seem to expect certain plot twists. It's actually somewhat PlayedForLaughs, with the story implying they've become something of a DeadpanSnarker because of their raw experience in warfare and saving the galaxy. This shifts a bit by the time ''Episode 5'' rolls around, seeing as outside of pattern recognition they definitely didn't see [[spoiler:the Omega Dimension and Elmir's plans]] coming.

* NotBloodSiblings: [[spoiler:With the Protagonist. Both were created by Xion, but through different means and instances of time.]]

* ExtremeOmnisexual: She will fall in love with the Protagonist, regardless of their race or gender. [[spoiler:In Episode 3, she outright calls them her beloved, and gives them a LoveConfession in the final scene of the game.]]

* NotBloodSiblings: [[spoiler:Both she and the Guardian were made by Xion, which would technically make them half-siblings of sorts. However, Matoi was made following the loose "blueprint" of Alma and the first Klariskrays, whereas the Guardian had been made using the same research that created Hariette/Shiva, plus the whole connotations of both of them being an ArtificialHuman with no inherent blood ties whatsoever, keeping this from being too awkward. Though the anime's Ash being a Klariskrays II recreation on the other hand...]]

* RedEyesTakeWarning: Averted. Despite being very powerful, Matoi's incredibly nice and caring.

** The Successor Classes follow this to a lesser extent. Etoile falls under Fighter for being the most focused CloseRangeCombatant, Phantom is the Mage for its viability as a Technique-wielding class compared to the others. Luster attacks blindingly quickly in close range and further away, making it best suited for Thief.

* MasterOfAll: In-game it's very possible for players to maximize levels for every single one of the available classes that they can choose from, though they're still limited to one main and sub class at a time (unless they use a Successor Class in which case they're only limited to just one). In-universe, it was stated that unlike most ARKS who prefers to stick to their comfort zones, the protagonist dabbles in and mastered all kinds of weapons and classes.

** Story wise, the Protagonist's classes of choice are Hunter and Fighter as they tend to use the Coated Edge or the Coated Doubliss. By ''Episode 5'' however, they've gained access to the more powerful Hero Class and it becomes their main class throughout the episode all the way to the end. In ''Episode 6'', they also gain access the Phantom and Etoile classes as well and switches between them throughout the episode.

* WeaponOfChoice: Primarily uses the Coated Edge or Coated Doubliss as their main weapons throughout the game. Once the Scion Classes are introduced, the Protagonist proceeds to use other weapons available for Hero, Phantom, and Etoile as well.

* CharacterDevelopment: At the start of the game, Matoi is a timid amnesiac whose only real friendship is with the Protagonist. By the end of ''Episode 3'' and events of ''Episode 4'', she's become a confident young woman who is now one of the top operatives that ARKS has and has developed close relationships with a number people such as Sarah, Klariskrays, Xiao, and Xiera among others.

* GirlishPigtails: Prominently sports them in her first and third outfits.

* ChickMagnet: Whether the Guardian is male or female, they're this as most of their closest associates are all women, some of whom have or might have feelings for them. Examples include [[ImpliedLoveInterest Matoi]], [[OrdinaryHighSchoolStudent Hitsugi]], [[TheHighQueen Hariette]], [[IdolSinger Quna]], [[Tsundere Io]], and [[GenkiGirl Stratos]].

* ChickMagnet: Whether the Guardian is male or female, they're this as most of their closest associates are all women. Examples include Matoi whose affections for them [[EveryoneCanSeeIt are incredibly unsubtle]], Io who is also rather blatant with her feelings [[{{Tsundere}} despite trying to mask it]], Quna who treasures them greatly as one of her closest friends, Hitsugi who is also somewhat implied to have feelings for them, Stratos who outright idolizes them and gets embarrassed when they call her cute, and Hariette who sees them as someone whom she can heavily rely on and allow herself to relax with.

* FamedInStory: With each Episode, the protagonist gains more and more of a reputation as a OneManArmy and a hero who saved the universe time and again. By Episode 4, pretty much everyone knows you and stop to at least say hi if they aren't busy squeeing over meeting the Guardian. Even Mother Corps knows that you're ARKS strongest fighter and champion, [[spoiler:taking special measures to trap you on the Moon to prevent you from stopping their assault on the ARKS ships.]]

* GameplayAndStoryIntegration: Because the protagonist has NoCutsceneInventoryInertia and thus didn't use their weapons in cutscenes for the early years of the game, they fight bare-handed, which obviously isn't optimal for anyone but Fighters with Knuckle weapons. But when [[spoiler:they travel back to ten years prior to find out Matoi's origins]], you punch out wild sylvants with ease. By the time the story content came out, the player actually could do the same unarmed if they played the Forest on Normal difficulty.
** ''Episode 5'' was scripted with the protagonist using the Hero class in mind, which results in them doing several fight scenes with all of the Hero's latent capabilities, even down to Talis warps. This happens again with both Phantom and Etoile as ''Episode 6'' progresses.
