And the plan worked. And then there's the lengthy, semi-intellectual recap at the beginning of the final season, and pretty much everything she does in ''Sweet Jade and Hella John''....

He wishes to do most, if not all, of the dirty work. The Captain finally gets his wish when he is sent on the Quimby capture, but is shortly after shot and killed by the Chief.

In the epilogue, it has been revealed that Rip turned him into a familiar and somehow got him to work for the side of Hecksing. Because this is not until the very end, however, he will be placed in the Millennium character sheet.

* AntiClimax: For Millennium's trump card, he goes down ''really'' quick.
* BackForTheFinale: It turns out that Rip went back to the Grand Canyon between chapters 9 and 10 and drank his blood. He later reappears as a familiar in chapter 13.
