While we can use redirects (e.g. Abusive Dad and Big Sister Instinct and Cute Monster Boy), we're not supposed to edit trope names. Also, Kill Em All is no longer a trope.

* Abusive Dad: Of the gender-inverted WickedStepmother variety. Although he isn't really cruel to Mimi, Dexter is noticeably cold and distant to his stepdaughter. From what is shown about him, he treats Mimi pretty much like a tool for her precognitive powers and is basically confiding her away in the lab, although as to not let any villains kidnap or telepathically kill her. According to General Specific, he isn't protecting Mimi from the world, but the world from her if HIM were to ever gets his claws on her.

* AbusiveParents: Unsurprising, considering who it is. While Mandy does love her children, and will occasionally show a PetTheDog moment with them, she is no less cruel and cold towards them than anyone else when it comes to getting her way. More recent comics reveal that she put Minnie through a literal TrainingFromHell to hone her fighting skills, and that she is the reason for Junior's previous animosity towards Minnie by making it look like Minnie was purposefully antagonizing him.

* RedHerring: When she first appeared in the comic, Raven seemed like one of the most obvious contender's as Mimi's mother (Mimi's quiet demeanor, being the daughter of a devil, the similar hairstyle). Added that Mimi only started to call for her mother as soon as Raven was hurt. A few pages later Raven outright confirms that this isn't the case and Mimi's real mother arrives on scene. This is Lampshaded in the comic itself.
