Out of pure bile fascination, I would have watched this. The bizarre Americanization of the series, the She-Ra-esque character designs, the laughable attempts at diversifying the cast (yes, it IS possible to change the races of characters and make them disabled without it feeling forced), the god-awful animation, and the most 90s-girl-cartoon theme song ever, it all makes it this perfect storm of What-the-fuckery. I demand to see a fully realized version of this. Also, I've been inspired to write a script for a found-footage(?)-style pilot for a “lost American Sailor Moon”, that's essentially a parody of the whole ordeal rather than an actual lost series, featuring humor with a slightly mature edge. God I wish the link to that interview wouldn't have been lost so I could read it for myself.
