Well, when I grabbed this mod off the Fallout Nexus shelf, I was intrigued that it made playing Mothership Zeta actually worthwhile to play instead of just being a giant grinding tour. This mod, against the other mods I've played (and there are a lot of them), is easily DLC worthy if they had the resources of Bethesda. However its not without its faults but then its expected of a pretty independent group. Right now there are essentially mods for mods and modding resources so you can add your stick to the MZC mod itself. Basically, right now they're at Chapter IV with Chapter V in the works. The mod actually has some voice acting... even poking fun at all the accents you'll encounter. When the majority of the mods don't even have voice acting for the characters, just walls of text. It's enjoyable that a mod goes teh extra mile. However this isn't totally complete.
The mod in itself is essentially you+defectors+advanced alien technology= new faction (lead by YOU, the player). However right now (at version 1.66) the mod is still incomplete but the team is working their best to complete it (modding isn't easy, and I know because I've tried my hand in it with Star Ruler... oh boy was that a mess). If you have Game of the Year Edition for Fallout 3 already, then immediately go and get the latest mod manager (either Fallout Mod Manager (FOMM) or Nexus Mod Manager), Fallout Script Extender (FOSE), activate Archive Validated Invalidated, then storm your way through Mothership Zeta and once complete, you can start the mod by pressing a button right next to the death ray firing button.
I've enjoyed it immensely even in its incomplete state. Its so good and so different to the sea of mods there that you can simply buy Fallout 3 Got Y just so you can play this awesome mod.
Oh, did I forget that you can lead soldiers? That you can call in bombing runs on targets? Thank the dedication of the mod team for that.
VideoGame Mothership Zeta Crew mod: The best mod ever?
