Paprika is, quite simply, one of the most "alive" looking animated movies I have ever seen. Everything in it is lifelike and vibrant. It easily captures the feeling of being in a dream, and so seamlessly blends fantasy and reality that it's often hard to tell the transition between the two, leading to an engrossing plot and a movie that is amazing just to look at, even if you don't want to watch it.
It's not for everyone, there are a few disturbing scenes in it, and it is the exact opposite of a straight-forward narrative. That said, if you like to think a bit with your entertainment I highly, highly, highly recommend it.
Literature An Excellent and rather mind-bending movie
