This trilogy was started in 1995, and is now a Dead Fic. The main story is complete, but the author decided to rewrite the SMZ portion, and lost momentum with about 6 chapters to go. In her notes and in forum comments, she's said that the last few chapters were meant to play out almost identically to the original 'draft' of the plot.
