And finally, legendary Pokemon are actually deserving of that name here and even the weaker ones can wipe out entire cities on a whim.
But even so, it is still the same world we all know and love. Ash grows with every challenge he encounters, meets new people and makes new connections. Every character, no matter if they are taken from canon or an OC, human or Pokemon has his own distinct personality. Every city he visits has it's own distinct character, population, history and dangers.
In short, the worldbuilding of Traveler surpasses almost anything else this troper has ever seen.
Still, it is only one of the many highlights of this fic. Another one are the incredibly detailed and well-thought out battles and the way the different mechanics interact with each other. Seriously, you could write a whole encyclopedia on how things like psychic energy, distortion and ghost-types interact and how to counter the more common applications in and out of battle. And the best of all: It always stays consistent.
