It's kind of a bad influence.
I, as an Italian Canadian, used to like this series but as soon as I saw that remark Marilla made, I stopped reading. This is implying that Irish Canadians are omay but Italians are evil demons. It's not okay, and I refuse to support an anti-Italian propaganda franchise.
