An absolutely wonderful fic that manages to build and evolve on the already amazing source material in new and interesting ways, leaving the reader genuinely curious about the path the story winds up taking while still being recognizable as Beauty and The Beast. The author doesn't just switch the pronouns of the Beast and call it a day, either; the gender swap has a genuine impact on the story, and Eve is her own unique character. Despite a few historical inaccuracies for the sake of the plot (which the author fully admits to), it is abundantly clear how much time and effort went into this story, and I would recommend it even to people who aren't fans of the Disney adaptation - it's that good.
