Almost Too Dark

I definitely enjoyed the manga when I initially read it. But after sitting on it for a while and thinking about it, the events come across as almost too dark. While Life is certainly realistic in terms of life itself not being always happy, there are too many things happening that make it take a turn into the comically-dark aspect of being so dark that it becomes unrealistic.

Especially Manami becomes such a psychotic, abusive girl, she loses the realistic depiction of being a girl that looks nice, but turns into a bitch for fun. Katsuki isn't much better, and Ayumu has the problem of being the main punching bag for everything happening.

Perhaps had the manga reeled back a little and not attempted to show what insane connections and murderous plans Manami can come up with, it would have worked better to portray that highschool life (in Japan) can be very difficult for certain people, especially a very shy and timid girl like Ayumu.
