Pure brilliance.

I read this story eagerly on AH.com, and it is worth every second. The author does great grimdark (the Red Wolf lifetime), comedy ("TEAM LANNISTER!", the Lemon Incident), black comedy (some of Joffrey's many, many deaths), and character development, slowly turning Prince Shithead into a brilliant, kind, genuinely caring person (though currently he's still coping with his possibly-congenital tendencies towards sadistically stabbing people. Hey, he's managed to narrow his victims list down to "people who hurt my friends", so...progress?).

Character work is brilliant, the relationship between Ned Stark and Joffrey in the middle chapters after Joffrey hits rock bottom is genuinely touching, and the broad scope of Joffrey's lives lets the author build a much deeper, richer world even than Martin's original.

10/10 Must-read!
