A Great Refreshing Take

I cannot begin to describe how wonderful M Yth is. The art style, first off, is fantastic and the character designs are unique and fitting for each of the Gods and Goddesses. Not only are the designs great, but the characters' personalities are wonderful and do a splendid job of mirroring the aspects of the Gods we often found in the original Greek myths. Plus, what is added to the characters's personalities, as well as the stories and relationships, is really refreshing. I would describe M Yth's various comics as character-driven stories, and as such, their cast is great and do a wonderful job of moving the stories along in a logical, entertaining manner.

On the subject of the stories, I will say M Yth isn't for any action fans. With the exception of Promise, most of the stories, in true Greek spirit, are dramas. They don't focus on the action; the focus is where it's supposed to be: the characters. Even Promise isn't quite as action packed as one would expect for a story set during the Titan War. However, that isn't to say what action is there isn't good, because it is good action. Why? Because it isn't mindless shonen action that's just there to be there. There's always a reason for it, which makes it more suspenseful for the reader.

Another thing about the stories are the twists to the original myths that are added. I will simply say that as the series has progressed, the creator's twists have become more and more imaginative, making the stories all the more entertaining because it's like you're hearing them for the first time again.

In short, I would really recommend M Yth to anyone looking for a fresh take on Greek Mythology or just someone who doesn't mind any changes to the original stories as long as they're good ones. It's a great series, trust me.
