....Who's Bird Brain Mary? I admit that I haven't seen this film in ages, but I have no idea who this is.
Regardless, this is a ZCE; it could say "Evil Is Sexy: Bird Brain Mary is this" for all the difference it would make. Unless someone adds more context, this shouldn't be vvisible on the page.
- Fly, robin, fly! - ...I'm trying!Pardon me for taking issue with Doctor Doppler's Improbable Aiming Skills. The moment in question occurs in the Legacy's longboat bay. Once Doppler, Jim Hawkins and Morph have entered the bay, Captain Amelia closes the door and engages the lock, fusing it shut. This buys a few extra seconds to escape while the pirates try to cut through the door. Doctor Doppler presumably has seen this. Once the pirates are through the door, another obstacle is needed to impede them. A bathyscaphe hangs from a gantry overhead. Doctor Doppler, safe behind cover, can take careful aim at a stationary target. Thus, Doppler shoots the gantry pulley, destroying it, and the bathyscaphe drops. Doppler apparently intended for the bathyscaphe to fall onto the causeway, blocking the pirates' path. Instead, its great bulk smashed the causeway, causing the pirates near it to fall out the longboat bay, into the planet's atmosphere. Of course, this result was far more effective than the scenario that Doppler had envisioned, thus it took him by surprise. Captain Amelia, being quite fey, teased him, with her quote: "I say, Doctor: were you actually aiming for that?" The Doctor replies truthfully, "You know, actually, I did." Short n sweet: Doc meant to plunk a hunk of iron in front of the pirates. He succeeded in bowling them out of the ship like tenpins. Not so much Improbable Aiming, merely Unexpected Results.
Who? I won't delete it, but that's a bit hard to believe.
