  • Take That!: Some of the jabs at the original cartoon crossed the line into this, depending on the person. Of course, the same thing seems to happen once they end up in the Mirage universe.
    • The 1987 Splinter, however, doesn't receive this treatment and is portrayed with great dignity.
    • The most notable example is probably the scene where Ch'rell is searching the multiverse for turtles, and The Next Mutation doesn't appear.
    • Probably the most obvious one: Karai's comments about the 87 Foot Soldiers:
Karai: Clumsy. Weak. Almost [robot head is ripped off] Cartoonish.
    • Another is when the '87 turtles are attempting to beat the Technodrome with trash cans (basically their most powerful weapons as they were the biggest thing they could throw) and remark about how they have no effect. The other eight turtles just stare at one another for a bit.

Examples Are Not Arguable

Did anyone else notice Raph's foot hit the mutagen Hun was holding, with no effects for him?

I more or less assumed that it didn't affect him because he was already a mutant.

  • edit: never mind; I mistook SPLINTER for SHREDDER. My bad.*
