I bet there is a trope for hiding when someone comes to see you. Scootaloo comes but Dash kinda doesn't want to see her. Maybe she is already in jerk mode? Is she just a jerk when sick? When Scoots asks her to come down and talk, Dash rudely says, "Fine." She is also an being an ass with her responses, saying, "hooray... here I am." She really doesn't seem to want to be with Scoots. Scoots notes her grumpiness.
How did Dash get a cold from Spitfire? Implied relation? We later see how spit-tastic Spits kisses are on Soarin'.... J/k... Seriously, I was kidding. No implied shenanigans.

There's also the "faking sick" trope, although it's not played straight as the trope is normally played, with a character faking sick because they want attention.
There is a trope that is given to content who's art quality increases as time goes on. Which for this comic it does. The backgrounds are more elaborate and the resolution even improves as stated by the artist that he was converting the newer comic page files to HD.
Lets not forget this funny play on stuff HERE. "Mister Ed Memorial Medical Center. Part of Saint MARE-ies." That is a pretty good puny joke. Mister Ed too. Saint Mare-ies is a joke on Saint Mary, or Saint Marie. Tons of hospitals started from Christian missionaries and as nunneries. So the fact that this is part of Saint Mare-ies just made me smile. Never noticed that joke before.
