The old version of the AI Rebellion was essentially the Contingency with different flavor text.
Now that Machine Empires are playable it's closer to an Unrest rebellion.
Edited by zarpaulusI see. I also have another question.
- Alternate History:
- In gameplay, you can find gateways that lead to other universes where, for example, your empire is at war with the Extradimensional Invaders within the first 50-100 years. You can even strike up mutually beneficial trade, although it goes up or down depending on how the crisis is going.
I can't find anything about this anywhere on the wiki, nor have I encountered it in gameplay. Is this no longer the case in current versions of the game, or is there something else going on?
You seek our aid?I've seen that one not too long ago. Technically they're at war with "warp beasts", not the Unbidden, but it is still in the game as far as I know.
Yes, but like, I can't find anything about an alternate timeline event at all. Is that some new thing that won't be found in the wiki yet, or what?

Working on cleaning up List of Shows That Need Summary
I have a question: Why do so many entries in this article and its subpages refer to an "old AI rebellion" crisis, as if the Contingency replaced AI rebellions altogether? I happen to know that's not the case; upon installing Synthetic Dawn, I almost had an AI uprising of my own, in the middle of dealing with the Prethoryn Scourge, and a neighboring empire had one. Neither case had anything to do with the Contingency.
