I guess we could make separate sections for them as they're long.
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.-Philip K. DickTroper piraml has taken it upon themselves to remove the Child by Rape example with this reasoning: "Removed "Child by Rape" again, since the franchise explicitly takes the position that this is not a rape situation, but rather an obligation voluntarily taken on as the most preferable option available. Quote: "Nor does rape cover it. Nothing is going on here that I haven't signed up for. There wasn't a lot of choice but there was some, and this is what I chose." Let's not have an edit war just because you're not comfortable with the work's clear position." This was after removing the entry from the Child by Rape page as well. I messaged them about it, but they appear to think a single quote from the book makes this not rape both there and on the series. How that works, with their only other choice being a slow death in the Colonies, is beyond me. Even so, I too have no desire for an edit war. I'm permitted to restore it per the rule, while if they removed it again that would be edit warring. However, to go by past experience, mods may be slow responding. Anybody else have any thoughts?
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.-Philip K. Dick Hide / Show RepliesI'm glad you posted this, I was considering saying something similar. The idea that the Handmaids' situation isn't rape (or that it isn't intended to be read as rape) is absurd. Consent given under duress is legally not consent, and "do this or die a slow and painful death" is the definition of duress. I'd say restore it.
I've been here too long. Regretting choosing this screenname ten years ago.Yeah, it was pretty absurd to me too. I'll do it later.
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.-Philip K. DickOkay, so I just watched "Faithful." Emily isn't shown being killed yet. Should the tropes added for that be removed?
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.-Philip K. DickSure. You can do it under "Create new".

Could we make a new section for Surprisingly Realistic Outcome, Does This Remind You of Anything? and/or Shown Their Work?
