In the American TV cartoon Ben 10 Omniverse, episode "rad monster party" A conversation between the pilot "Rad Dudesman" and the hero, "Ben Tennyson" goes like this: Rad: "Ben, have you noticed ..." Ben: interrupting "That Hobble and Rook have mysteriously disappeared?" Rad: "You don't seem concerned." Ben: "Cause I've seen the way this goes a thousand times. It's monster-movie trope, dude. Some creature picks us off one by one, then reveals its diabolical plan." Should that be included on this page? Or is there another page it would be more appropriate on?

I would say Conversational Troping - the term trope was a round before TVTropes and use of the word is necessarily a reference to this site
