Why do people dislike this episode, of all of them? Personally, I think it's one of the better S1 episodes, a helluva lot better than some others I could think of. The face thing was honestly pretty unsettling, coming out of nowhere with the music and everything, and what some call "highly unclear motivations" of the ghost(s) I call a really interesting thing that leaves you with a lot of options for you, the viewer, to fill in the blanks on. C'mon. I'm just saying, this is the kind of thing X-files needed more of, if anything, where not everything is spelled out for you, and there's a lot of fun ambiguity. Come on. Ghost of an Alien Civilization. That's at least KIND of really cool.
The "ghosts did the Challenger" thing was pretty unnecessary and bad though.
