Cheap American imports happened a lot. It wasn't all bad - this was how we got Sledge Hammer!! and that was worth staying up for. But we also got Casey Kasem, or was it Kasey Casem, a man designed for radio only or for animation voiceovers. And his nightmare bloody jumpers. Every time, another indignity inflicted on innocent wool. The women who knitted them must have been on serious medication. Have we inflicted Tony Blackburn or Jules Holand on the USA in thanks/retribution for Casem? Or that other bugger, Don Kirshner?
