While listening to the radio I heard one mom complaining about icarly. She explained how she had never watched the show before but her son was watching it one day and she heard the "Talking Bra" bit. Immediately she watched the show with him and then decided that the show was highly inapropriate. She and the talk show host discussed how sick it was to mention a talking bra and then went on to say that Carly was a highly sexualized "12 year old or maybe younger or older and they don't think Carly even knows how old she is." Wow so....after watching presumably half of an episode we can conclude that the character of Carly ( who is shown to be shy and easily flustered if someone hints at anything above kissing)is of a fluid age and overtly sexual. If the people discussing the show had ever actually watched it they would realize that Carly started out in 7th grade and as the series has progressed is in highschool now. I believe they confuse the fact that Miranda Cosgrove looks very young with the actual age of a fictional character. (not that I wouldn't say that alot of adult jokes are underlying in that show)...but still!
