Public to-do list, because a private to-do list implies that I'll be doing all the work, which is a sad state of affairs; I may be Hibbs, but I'll be goddamned if I'm gonna be Hibbs alone.

Main Page

I'm currently going through each episode, pen and paper in hand, noting everything that seems notable enough to be a trope. The problem is: finding them. In lieu of blowing up the trope finder page (which I will probably end up doing anyway), it would be swood if someone could lend a hand in translating these into their trope form (if they exist).

  • The found audio genre in general. Not that the show's really playing that up, beyond the intro. I mean, there's no framing device of an outside party finding and presenting the tapes, a la The Black Tapes. So actually I have no idea if this actually falls under that genre.
  • Sad nerd/person-in-general pressures their friends into getting involved with their pet project.
  • "Haha, we're too cool for that loser and his stupid project... so, when do we start?" aka characters acting like something's for losers, but still doing that thing, most likely because they are also losers.
  • Going along with someone's idea/s out of pity.
  • "So this thing happened to a, uh, friend of mine..."
  • Aliens pretending to be humans, poorly.
  • Aliens take over the world, but thing continue on more or less as usual.
  • Super hell fights.
  • Double-triple-manly-men.
  • Spoken word performances of songs that no one seems to pick up on, not even the ones doing it.
  • Oh god, whatever you'd call the repetitive and increasingly distorted Sumptin jingle.
  • The evil corporation that's EXTRA evil because it's also a death cult or run by ghouls or whatever.
  • High risk, low reward scenarios, e.g. agreeing to kill a time vampire for a room, a Playstation, and a copy of Crash Bandicoot.
  • A planet/land where your every wish comes true.
  • Character suddenly decides to put on airs and be a pretentious dick.
  • Obvious in-universe plagiarism.
  • 2-in-1 stores serving seemingly disparate demographics (Greg Anders' Occult Bookstore & Pawn Shop).
  • Human soup.
  • Secretly evil celebrities.
  • Whatever the hell you'd classify a chrono-lock as.
  • We gotta do this evil thing in order to prevent a catastrophe on a massive scale, but also we don't see this thing as evil. Yeah, I looked at the Madoka page, but I couldn't quite find it.
  • "I slowly drain people of their life force by trapping them in a fake reality/annoying them to death, but accidentally killing a member of a prey species who I was going to feed on anyway is terrible!"
  • As an extension of the above, when predatory species apparently have laws protecting their prey, except from being eaten by them.
  • When a character phrases something in a certain way, whether intentionally or because they're freakish abominations, that leads you to believe one thing, when in reality they meant something entirely different (that's still a valid interpretation of what they said). I'm talkin' Able Able's "lost in time" bullshit.
  • Character says things that have obviously racist overtones in your culture, but they're from an... entirely different culture where that may or may not be applicable.
  • Having/not having a "glow" about you, signifying some vague mystical/supernatural bullshit.
  • Real world save points.
  • Major plot detail dropped quickly and casually.
  • When a show with little to no continuity suddenly develops an over-arching storyline... though there's a good chance I'm jumping the gun on this one and the forbidden campfire/nexus point thing is just gonna be a one-off.

Character Page

This is currently the dank-nastiest looking page, and it doesn't even have any bight and colorful pictures to distract from it.

  • I'm new at this, so I'm unsure what should go on the main page vs. what should be filed under a specific character, or if overlap is allowed. I mean, the presence of an evil clown in the show is noteworthy, but how are you gonna do Dreddo's section without noting that he's an evil clown?
  • Non-placeholder descriptions are coming... eventually.

This to-do list

Aw, fuck. I gave myself more work. Whatever.
