I am somewhat dubious that this meets the trope criteria - is this about censors missing stuff or about stuff being sneaked around them?
- Getting Crap Past the Radar: Despite sudden purges of explicit content, there exists plenty of stories at every content rating that don't quite meet the standards of that rating; in particular, "M-rated" stories with MA-rated smut. It doesn't help that the guidelines are vague enough to have multiple interpretations as to what is suitable at each rating.
I'm just thinking maybe it's time to cut down the franchises again - shave them from 20,000+ to 30,000+?
Banning Scirpt Fic is my only issue with the site. Why is that format so discriminated against. Fan Fic is supposed to be where aspiring writers learn, what if I'm an aspiring Screen writer rather then a Novelist?
I feel that the list of sections should be cut back to those above 30,000, because it's really getting long now.
Is there a point to the "Stories that originated at Fan Fiction.net include:" section? It doesn't seem relevant to FFN itself other than the fact those fics are posted there, and it's beginning to look like a promotion list which doesn't belong on a trope page about the site itself.
I think we should replace that entire section with a link to the list of fanfics.
I just updated the Honorable Mentions area, since they were all a few thousand out of date. They are still approximate values, but higher.
I read one person put on their profile that stories that were not completed and not updated for a certain period of time should be erased from the site, I think that idea has some merit.
