Would Dragon Ball Kai count as this compared to Dragon Ball Z? Toei treats it like its own unique show, and it's Truer to the original Manga by way of removing much of the filler. From a US perspective, FU Nimation's dub of Kai is MUCH more accurate to the original Japanese dialogue.
I suggest that we edit the "Duck Tales" section. While the new show does name drop a ton of references to the original comic books, the tone and the writing arguably differ even more from the source material than the 1987 show ever did, so much so that even Don Rosa himself said that the older show had little to do with his and Barks' comic books and the new one has "virtually no similarity to whatsoever" (https://ducktalks.files.wordpress.com/2018/05/db374b99-fb18-413a-a8b7-deccd0d2353b.jpg?w=723)
