In Israel, whenever teenage boys (and hardly any other group) do something horrendous, e.g. gang rape a classmate, their parents and other acquaintances are quick to claim Genre Blindly that they are ‘normative boys’, accidentally implying that this trope is in effect.
This doesn’t specify any specific cases; can it go in a folder labelled ‘Other’?
