Hiya guys, not sure if anyone's here but...
I'm thinking of changing the name of this trope. After a while of reading this trope page I made myself, the title starts feeling rather silly. Plus, the name's too similar to Million to One Chance, as someone pointed out, making the trope name even worse as this and MTO has absolutely no relation.
I think I should change it to something more indicative (even if boring), for example "Shatter And Reform".

Edited by harharhar Hide / Show RepliesThe current name is okay other than the confusion with Million to One Chance, but Shatter And Reform is decent too. However, since the current isn't actively bad, it's unlikely to get renamed. You could try making a thread in the Trope Repair Shop, when there's room, and make a case for this being ambiguous.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. Thanks for the advice. If you say the current name isn't so bad, okay :) but once I think the name really needs to change, I'll go to the forums.
A better name might be something like Swarm Transformation, but I am sure someone else can think of something better.
I heard an audio play one time on the radio about a man who involuntarily transforms into a swarm of flesh-eating beetles if he experiences any excitement or stress and he has no control over what the beetles do when he transforms so he has to suppress all emotions so that he doesn't hurt anybody. When a man tries to rob the place that he works at, a female coworker he dated finds out about his powers. The girlfriend then kidnaps the robber and then reveals that she has the ability to turn into a swarm of carnivorous butterflies and then the two of them eat the robber alive and after that the man finds that he can now control his powers. I think the name of the story was The Beetles but I am not sure if it was an episode of a program or not.
