Does Elinor Wonders Why counts as a kidcom or is it just an educational show?
I removed That70s Show from the list of examples. Although it was indeed a Sitcom that focused on teenagers, it didn't fit the usual Kid Com mold, mainly because "kids" (i.e. preteens) weren't the target audience and the subject matter was often rather more mature (sex, pot smoking) than would be allowed in a Kid Com. Also, being set some decades in the past, the humour often had a postmodern tone (e.g. Kelso claiming that the Happy Days episode where Fonzie jumps the shark was "the worst moment in the history of television") that would go right over most preteens' heads.
Hide / Show RepliesThis isn't about a Sitcom for kids, it's about a Sitcom where the main characters are kids/teenagers and the adults are supporting characters.
I'm a Troper!!!Should this be made into an index? Or make another page solely meant for indexing Kid Com shows? There seems to be enough to do so.
Does Bluey count as a kidcom or a domcom?
