Yeah, it ought to be moved to the right and/or pruned. Moving it to quotes is a good start: Lets have the whole thing in the quotes section, and a much shorter version as page quote. It'll probably still be too long to have at the top, so I'll put it to the right.

Sigh. I can't find any good way to chop it up for a short-yet-meaningful page quote. Suggestions?

Leave it in the quotes, find a new quote for it, bound to be something. Maybe check the various examples you have in the page.
Moved the ridiculously long quote to the quote page. This was way too long to belong at the top of an article.
