This seems odd. It seems like a judgement ("This character is wrong and dishonest for doing this"). The distinction between this and Realpolitik is said to be "necessity vs. personal gain", but where do you draw the line? If I don't think you need this badly enough, then you're selfish and dishonest if you want to make friends with an enemy to get it?

Why is it wrong to get along with people you don't like and work together?

Realpolitik is more about politics, and the parties involved work together more out of realism with little pretenses of reconciliation. In addition, Realpolitik benefits two or more parties more or less equally.

Fair-Weather Foe is more about putting on pretenses of reconciliation in order to manipulate someone into doing something for you. In addition Fair-Weather Foes are also more parasitical, as their plains usually involve trying to benefit themselves while giving very little.
