What, no Real Life section?
I was sketching a coat of arms and an onlooker said, “Yeah, I remember it had those Boy Scout thingies in it,” i.e. fleurs-de-lys. I replied huffily: “In heraldry we do not call them ‘Boy Scout thingies’. We call them French thingies.”
