At one point someone nuked almost all of the Real Life entries, apparently on the grounds (no pun intended) that anything without a cite was merely anecdotal.

Yeah I feel like my edit was caught as a collateral because I don't see how it was controversial.
My edit on bad coffee being known in French as "sock juice" and how it dates back to the Franco-Prussian War of 1871 has been deleted for reasons I find spurious. I've restored it since it's not by any mean a controversial statement, just a fact. I speak French as a mother tongue so I am more than qualified to say this is our term for it.
