Interesting that Japan has still not made one like this, unless you count things like the Uta No Prince Sama concert movies. There's also High School Star Musical, but that's a series. The 2020's might change this. A few franchises I can think of...

I know the criteria for being listed is that the work has to have more than one character-sung musical number, but... would Fantasia be appropriate to put here? Sure, there's no singing characters, but since the film is pretty much entirely music, with the only spoken dialogue being live-action interludes, I'm torn as to whether or not it would count.
