"There's also a tendency in some female-aimed media to depict any man acting withdrawn around women as suffering deep psychological issues that will turn him into a delusional stalker, creepy sexual deviant or a violent psychopath the first time he actually gets close to one."
Could we add some examples? Because I've never seen something like this in media. I surely have heard it from people, both male and female, but can't think of an example in the media.
Is this trope even valid, considering that apparently every group is an acceptable target?
Should we include categories that we have no examples for? Some just kind of seem like whining about how whatever group you are in is persecuted. For example, the metalheads get several paragraphs, but no actual examples.
Well that was like playing a game of Whack-A-Mole where "mole" is defined as "Cthulhu". -Count Dorku Hide / Show RepliesShould we include impolite people? I've felt at times my parents have used my poor manners as an excuse to act rudely toward me, but they're "justified" because they're correcting my bad behavior, even if they're humiliating me and making asses out of themselves.
