I would like to advocate adding Tanuki into this, on the basis that cladistically, tanukis are considered foxes.
The genus Nyctereutes (tanukis) belongs to the tribe Vulpini (foxes) and is in fact more closely related to the genus Vulpes (true foxes) that the species Otocyon megalotis (bat-eared fox) is, as presented here.
However, I'm putting this thread here before making that decision on my own since some tropers might disagree with the given definition of fox.
