i'm not sure about calling people with entries on multiple horrible pages "serial offenders", since that feels like it's accusing them of more serious crimes than making terrible music.
yarisflat is a pretty cool ship lolDoes Fleetwood Mac's Time belong here? It's the biggest flop album of all time (measured by the drop in sales from the previous album - quite a feat considering said album, Behind the Mask, was also a big flop) and I've never seen anyone who liked it.
Hide / Show RepliesThe reviews seem more mixed than outright negative, so I'm not sure if it's bad enough to be listed even if it was a significant sales slump.
Most Discharge fans find the albums released in 1991 and before the reunion as abysmal as Grave New World. musically they got a bit better and tighter, but Kal doing Brian Johnson style vocals over them just doesn't work...plus, he can't.
Hide / Show RepliesI listened to every album that is included in So Bad, It’s Horrible! If you guys like it, let me know!
Hide / Show RepliesSorry, but why are you posting this here? I do think it could be fun to do an "I listened to every So Bad It's Horrible album" write-up or a review for each album or something, but this is not the place for it.
I'm going to say it, Corey Feldman is too funny to be here. He belongs in So Bad, It's Good
Hide / Show RepliesI guess it can be listed as So Bad Its Horrible and So Bad, It's Good at the same time, like Big Rigs is.
Edited by OrangutansThe general consensus is that the album is awful, so it definitely belongs on here.
Has anyone considered Trapt's Shadow Work? It only sold 600 copies, was panned by those who did hear it, and the creators' notoriously can't take criticism as they hid all negative comments from the songs' official uploads.
Considering how much the band itself hates the album and how it was slaughtered by critics, is it fair to list Kilroy Was Here by Styx? I know everybody knows of "Mr Roboto" but let's be honest, nobody knows any of the lyrics besides the chorus since it's basically a meme and the song itself is cringey as hell.
Edited by Nick7689 Hide / Show RepliesI'm not sure about that. As far as I know, the album and song are not that badly regarded. Are you sure these are commonly held opinions and not just yours?
Personally, I've downloaded the album from iTunes and I quite enjoy it. I'd like to hear from others for their opinion.
It has 2/5 stars on rateyourmusic, 2/5 on Rolling Stone and 2.5 stars on All Music. The highest rating I've seen for it is a 3/5 on Discogs.
Are you serious? The album was litterally certified platinum and spawned two top ten hits (Mr. Roboto and Don't Let it In)
I'm looking at the entry for My Father The Pop Singer by Sam Chalpin and it looks more like an example of Troubled Production, hardly touching on why the album is bad. I think this needs looking into.
Hide / Show RepliesSame, taking to the SBIH cleanup forums.
She/her. Profile pic is by Richard Michael Gomez @StarmansArt. Please watch Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. https://youtu.be/Vm92JNgPbqkI think we need to discuss ...Calling All Stations.... Maybe TT454 is right that it doesn't belong on this page, but the argument "The album is not anywhere near bad enough to be on this section." is not good enough. One person thinking, "it's not that bad" doesn't make it not Horrible.
Hide / Show RepliesI agree that it's not a good enough excuse, if the general consensus is that it's a bad album, you don't have the right to be all butthurt and start an editing war because you don't agree. One person thinking "it's not that bad" is merely a subjective opinion.
Edited by purplekylieWould The Owl by Zac Brown Band be a good candidate for Horrible? The reception for this album has been universally negative from both critics and fans alike, as all of the reviews for this album I could find have been absolutely scathing, the album tanked on the Billboard 200 despite debuting at #2, and none of it’s singles went anywhere. I don’t know if I should lump Zac Brown’s solo album The Controversy in there too because I could hardly find any reviews for it, but the press around it seems to be negative too, especially around the song “Swayze”.
Edited by WJ2000I've been watching Todd in the Shadows' Trainwreckords videos, and I was wondering if The Clash's "Cut the Crap" and/or Madonna's "American Life" count.
Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story? Hide / Show RepliesCut the Crap was just, well, cut. Opening track Dictator is still listed under Songs.
She/her. Profile pic is by Richard Michael Gomez @StarmansArt. Please watch Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. https://youtu.be/Vm92JNgPbqkAmerican Life has a score of 60/100 on Metacritic. That's too high to put it here.
I doubt that Boston's Life, Love and Hope qualifies — it has 47 on Metacritic.
Hide / Show RepliesI think the two submissions for Boston albums are from an overzealous Boston fan.
Might I recommend Logic's Supermarket, the Maryland rapper's attempt to cross over into alt-rock and indie rock to disastrous results?
- 1.5 stars from Rolling Stone
- 2.9/10 from Pitchfork
- dubbed NOT GOOD by Anthony Fantano
- average RateYourMusic score of 1.00/5 based on 1,500 user ratings, making it the 3rd worst reviewed album of 2019
- Logic's worst-selling album to date with 11,823 total album-equivalent units, peaking at #56 on the Billboard 200.
- To put this into perspective, Logic's previous album, YSIV, debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 with 122,000 pure album sales alone (167,000 album-equivalent units sold overall).
- Logic's subsequent album, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 with 24,000 pure albums sales alone (80,000 album-equivalent units sold overall).
Looks like a good candidate for SBIH, but I think it should go on the Soundtracks page because it's technically a soundtrack album — it serves as a tie-in for his novel Supermarket.
Edited by MathsAngelicVersionI think Deep Purple's Slaves and Masters doesn't really belong here. I've never listened to the album, but there are few positive reviews for it, for example Record Collector who awarded 3 stars out of 5 to the album, or Collector's Guide to Heavy Metal, who gave it 7 out of 10.
Should the Switchfoot example really be here? How can you know something is bad if there's no way to listen to it to confirm?
