If not many people have recognized this scene, then it's not valid. Ho Yay is classified as an Audience Reaction, meaning it requires a non-negligible portion of the audience to hold this opinion. Read the description of Ho Yay. If it's just you and two friends, then it's classified as a fringe opinion (or Shipping Goggles), especially if it requires you to point it out for them to see it. We try to avoid troping those.

We should add in a folder for The JOJ Olands on the ho yay page for Jo Jo’s bizarre adventure. I just noticed an incident of ho yay involving the protagonist, Jodio Joestar and a yet to be named high school student who buys drugs from him. That particular student got a little touchy feels with Jodio on a school bus when Jodio lends that student money and then when Jodio pushes the student off him on the bus and tumbles over, the particular image on which it happens made it appear as if they were going to kiss with some of the other students acting like they are fawning over it.
