The Bechdel Test wasn't listed as a trope; it was used in the text of a sentence because the idea behind it (treating female characters as no different from male characters) was what was on my mind at the time I wondered about this aspect of the show. These pages are lists of audience reactions — the use of ANYTHING that is not an objective trope can't be banned from ANY use ANYWHERE in any sentence in any context on the site, and it's not banned.
Where does the 7 years it says gusto has spend on the island under fridge horror come from, he says nothing about it being seven years ago then he metions that he came to island to paint the beach before it disappeared. We do get some clue about how long he's been there in form of him mentioning working on the dragon everyday for twelve years however.
