Sure, sounds pretty good. I'll rearrange things.
"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!"Now that nearly every character has a quote here, I decided to make a discussion topic that you can post on if you think you have a quote more fitting for a character and want to put that one up instead. Post the current quote and the new quote here, and the other members can decide which they think is better.
At the moment, I want to change Silver Frost's quote.
Current: "It's not your fault! Don't give up!" Suggestion: "We may not be as young as you, but our claws are still sharp."
Also, Thunder's quote is almost guaranteed to be changed, since it's a placeholder until he gets some more dialogue in Thunder Rising.
"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!" Hide / Show RepliesMaybe for Thunder, the quote could be "Can't we agree to look after what we have? Can't we forget about expanding our territory?" (Page 293 of Thunder Rising American hardback) Might not be perfect, but it's better than what's there.
Sounds good to me.
"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!"So, now that Thunder Rising is out (I got it a few days early as usual but decided to be courteous this time and waited to add anything), the spoilers tags on this page (most of them added by me, I admit) should probably be dealt with. Otherwise this page becomes spoiler soup.
I'm pretty sure the site owner said that Characters pages shouldn't have spoiler tags, so we could always yank the spoiler tags from the Warriors character sheets, leave warning tags at the top of all pages, and save ourselves a massive headache.
"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!" Hide / Show RepliesI heartily agree with just doing a blanket warning for spoilers. Or maybe we could blanket warning for all but the most recent book? At least for DotC? Like, just keep Thunder Rising spoilers whited out and put a warning at the top of the page that lets everyone know there are unmarked Sun Trail spoilers? Just imagine how hellish the ThunderClan pages would be if we spoiler tagged every spoiler. Every single mention of Firestar would have to be whited out. That's where this page might be headed. Clear Sky is about eighty percent spoiler tags.
Latest book sounds good.
"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!"Would anyone mind if I made a "Spoilers for Thunder Rising" folder and put River into it? Just in case readers want to avoid pre-release spoilers. As well, any new characters from the Browse Inside and excerpts could go into that folder until the book was released.
"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!" Hide / Show RepliesPutting up info from not-yet-released material (apart from, for example, having a page say "there's a movie of this coming or a sequel of this coming") is not something usually done on this site.

I think maybe now that we're not tagging spoilers for The Sun Trail we should rearrange this page a bit. It's a little confusing, I think, with the 'forest cats' and 'other cats'. Owl Eyes and Thunder are native forest cats, after all, yet are in the 'other cats' folder. Maybe we could sort by Clan? Proto-WindClan, Proto-SkyClan, the Tribe, and one for unaffiliated cats? Or might that be too spoilery? I don't think it would shock anyone who has only read book one to learn that Wind Flight and Gorse Fur join future WindClan in book two. And we can leave Frost in SkyClan's area of course.
