I would argue that Lilac's appearance is more akin to Eastern (Chinese/Japanese) Dragons than European ones, and is not such an informed appearance. Her long hair (Well, twin-tails) is evocative of Eastern Dragon Whiskers, and her sleek skin/scales is closer to the aquatic Eastern (River/Lake/Sea) Dragons than the rough armored hide of a stereotypical European Wyrm.
