Why Dark Willow was not so Un-called for

3.9 - The Wish: After being caught cheating with Xander, Willow begs Oz to talk things over, and acts sort of entitled. Oz thankfully calls her out on it, but it just shows how self-excusing Willow is about her own cheating.

3.15 - Phases: Despite the fact that Cordelia began to go out of her way to make amends with Willow, the magnanimity was not requited, as we see in this vicious outburst (again, behind Cordelia's back); Willow: I'll call Xander. What's his number? Oh yeah, 1-800-I'm dating a skanky ho! Xander and Buffy also perpetuate the 'Cordelia is a ho' bitchery, but Willow is the most perturbed, and the most hypocritical, considering she makes out with Xander while he is in a relationship with her.

3.16 - Buffy and Willow mocking Faith behind her back on the grounds that she is mentally ill. This lack of empathy is surprising, considering Buffy's unrelenting depression and Willow's own mental instability, which will prove to be much more deadly than Faith's in coming episodes. Willow: Competition is natural and healthy. Plus you'll definitely ace her [Faith] on the psyche test. Just don't mark the box that says "I sometimes like to kill people". Buffy: I know Faith's not gonna be on the cover of 'Sanity Fair', but she had it rough. Different circumstances, that could be me. Willow: No way. Some people just don't have that in them. Willow is quick to label Faith a murderer, despite the fact that the killing in question was accidental. Buffy herself has come close to being responsible for the death of an innocent. But instead of offering support to the blatantly tormented Faith, Buffy at least feigns empathy for Faith.

4.6 - Wild At Heart: Willow recites a spell to exact revenge on Oz. For breaking up with her. Even though she doesn't go through with the spell, it shows us that not only is she willing to invoke the darkest of the dark, but vengeance is also her go-to coping mechanism for his breaking up and leaving her to find himself.

4.9 - Something Blue: Xander: Right. Topic now. (He gets up and walks to Willow) Will, how about you give me that beer? Willow: No! Why should I? I've got pain, here — big-time legitimate pain. Xander: We all have pain, Will. Willow: Oh, like what? "Oh, poor me.. I live in a basement." Yeah, that's dire..

Season 6 Giles: Tell me about this spell you performed. Willow: Okay. First of all - so scary. Like, the Blair Witch would have had to watch like this (covers eyes). And this giant snake came out my mouth and then there was all this energy crackling and then this pack of demons interrupted but I totally kept it together and the next thing you know... Buffy. Giles: You're a very stupid girl. Do you have any idea what you've done? The forces you've harnessed? The lines you've crossed? Willow: I thought you'd be..impressed, or something. Giles is disgusted at Willow's magical vanity. It doesn't help that Buffy has run out of money and Willow living rent-free off of her to go to college (not paying rent), yet doesn't help out in the least. This wouldn't be terrible if Buffy wasn't wasn't in financial debt and paying for everyone.

6.6 - All The Way: Tara: Willow, you are using too much magic. What do you want me to do, just ... sit back and keep my mouth shut? Willow: Well, that'd be a good start.

6.7 - Once More, With Feeling: Willow essentially drugs Tara using magic to make her forget their quarrels, in spite of the fact that Tara had previously been mind raped by Glory in season five.

6.22 - Grave: Willow has a attack against Buffy and Dawn, raises a satanic temple of dark magic from underground to destroy the entire world and everyone in it innocent or not.
