On the Characters/KungFuPanda character page, Po's father is listed under the third movie's characters, as despite appearing briefly in three scenes in the second movie (Po's nightmare, flashback to Po's childhood, and TheStinger), he's still only named and introduced properly in the third movie. Kiara's case is similar to this, except she appears in even less scenes (only one).
