I really don't like Death Battle anymore. Like many people, I was upset with the outcome for the first Goku vs. Superman Death Battle, but with time I accepted it and moved on. After all, it was done, right? They had given their verdict, and though I disagreed with it, I was mature enough to put it behind me in the past. I even watched a few of their battles past Season 1, back when they were still starting out and they actually produced quality content. Lately, though, it's just been getting worse and worse. Death Battle seems to exist now simply to sell themselves, make more money, and get people to worship the ground they walk on by following everything they do on social media. Even worse, the Goku vs. Superman battle seems to be growing into the flagship logo for their channel now... I really wish they had a Dethroning Moment of Suck page for Death Battle, because I would add one. The battles they've been churning out have been worse and worse, but none more so than Goku vs. Superman 2. There was absolutely no point in making it other than to repeat the same outcome, only worse by claiming Superman has infinite power, something that the comics do not support. It was really rather cruel just to set up the fans, give them the false impression, and then crush their hopes at the last minute. It really came more across like a massive grudge match against the Dragon Ball Z fanbase simply because we dared to challenge their rather questionable logic in the first fight, never mind that the outcome wasn't what mattered so much as the bad research. Honestly, that single battle was when Death Battle died for me, and I've never looked back. It wouldn't surprise me if there was a Goku vs. Superman 3 on the horizon, or a Goku vs. Superman 4 and a Goku vs. Superman 5 the way things are shaping up because, like I said, at this point it has become clear Death Battle only cares about profits, not their fans, and Goku vs. Superman is a hot-button topic all across the net that generates lots of attention, so I fully expect them to keep capitalizing on the debate, most likely repeating the outcome each and every single time they have a rematch, simply to make a quick buck. It's been a long time since Death Battle first started, and now, I think with how quickly they have degenerated into money-grubbing corporate shills, it really speaks volumes to how power and fame can corrupt people. So sad, really. But they made their choice, and I have made mine to boycott Death Battle and never watch anything they make again.

The most interesting character in the old days of Death Battle was Boomstick.
