I usually take it as hot when a woman gets kinky and all, and I openly support the HotForStudent DoubleStandard in spite of being a guy; but even for me that scene was disturbing.//Immediately after the attempted-rape and the rescue by Angel, the Scoobies are sitting around with Angel discussing what to do about Faith, and we see Xander there, his neck red and bruised, unable to say a word, and none of them, not even Willow, so much as \'\'ask him if he\'s all right.\'\' Buffy herself doesn\'t seem concerned in the least. Now go to season 6 and see how Xander reacts when he finds a bruised Buffy in the bathroom. You won\'t find a straighter example of this trope in TV.
